Victorian Exporters' Club

Developing global opportunities for AIIA member companies

AIIA has launched an exciting new Victorian Exporters' Club for Victorian AIIA members, CollabIT participants and the wider technology industry.

Objective

The Exporters' Club assists AIIA member companies to achieve sales in Asia by helping them locate and appoint sales channel partners by means of resellers, representatives or other measures.

The Victorian Exporters' Club will be driven and co-ordinated by industry. It aims to be an industry-to-industry group focused on information exchange, networking and support, facilitated by AIIA.

Members of the Exporters' Club can also take advantage of AIIA resources as well as wider organisations such as Austrade, Multimedia Victoria and other Government Departments. Stakeholder request

Networking Events: the Exporters' Club will host a series of networking events in Melbourne and Sydney in 2007. These events will include relevant industry and government speakers and will be designed to exchange information about doing business and finding sales channels in Asia. Other events and activities could include panel sessions and one-on-one workshops.

Website: AIIA’s interactive website enables Club members to utilise online resources and interactive services in order to communicate online.

Delegations: Club members are invited to join Club members in joint delegations to exhibit at trade shows of interest around d Asia.

Feedback on barriers to trade: The Exporters' Club can act as a channel for feedback to Government on barriers to trading faced by technology companies. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade welcome feedback from “on the ground” companies doing business in Asia regarding obstacles and barriers encountered, in order to address these in the longer term.
