NSW Government Business Special Interest Group

The NSW Government provides key commercial opportunities to AIIA’s member companies, and AIIA seeks to assist our member companies to grow in this marketplace, which has:

  • major public sector ICT buyers, a large installed base, are strong users and can be expected to continue to buy high quantities of ICT hardware, software and services,
  • reasonable private sector ICT buyers,
  • sub-markets that act to initiate adoption of ICT solutions in other industries/sectors, and
  • been identified as a growing ICT marketplace with good potential for ICT sales.

AIIA’s NSW Government Business SIG
assists AIIA member companies to:

  • identify who are the buyers and buying groups in this sector,
  • understand government buyers’ buying strategies (particularly useful for smaller companies which have limited capacity to research this marketplace),
  • connect with business opportunities, developments and contacts,
  • develop opportunities for early engagement with NSW Government agencies,
  • promote their capabilities in ICT solutions and services to NSW Government buyers, and
  • create a shared forum for ICT organisations with a government procurement focus.

People from industry participating in this SIG are senior executives, government account and sales managers, business development managers, business analysts, consultants and lawyers.

Our SIG meetings typically cover sector developments, business issues, drivers and constraints; buyer identification, and sector research.

Meetings are held monthly, usually the second Friday of the month, from 0830–0930 in Sydney.

AIIA-NSW Government ICT Market Briefings

This SIG also runs our NSW Government ICT Market Briefings, identifying topics of commercial interest and speakers to offer helpful insights into their plans, their buying models, and their preferences in dealing with ICT vendors.
