The NSW Exporters Club assists people in ICT companies to achieve sales, partners and distributors in global markets. It is managed by a small steering committee with representatives from AIIA, Austrade, EFIC and the NSW Department of State and Regional Development.
AIIA's NSW Exporters Club aims to:
- present global market intelligence and opportunities
- promote the successes of Australian exporters and Australian government export programs
- recruit Australian ICT companies for Australian government-initiated trade missions
- give advice on the various assistance programs for Australian ICT exporters
- recruit Australian ICT companies for overseas technology trade shows
- participate through information and network sharing.
Networking events
The Exporters Club hosts regular networking events in Sydney. These events include relevant industry and government speakers and are designed to exchange information about doing business in Europe, Asia and US.
Outward-bound trade delegations
We advertise Australian government-initiated trade missions. We provide briefings on these missions to encourage companies to maximise their participation in trade missions.
Inward-bound trade delegations
We host meetings with people coming to Australia on trade missions. These meetings help network with people from other countries seeking to do business with Australian companies and in Australia.
Technology trade shows
Australian governments and industry promote the presence of Australian ICT companies at selected international trade shows. We encourage Australians and Australian companies to be exhibitors and visitors at these trade shows.
We help smaller companies join up with each other in joint delegations to exhibit at trade shows of interest.
Feedback on barriers to trade
The Exporters Club can act as a channel for feedback to government on barriers to trading faced by ICT companies. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade welcome feedback from “on the ground” companies doing overseas business regarding obstacles and barriers encountered, in order to address these in the longer term.

Members of the Exporters Club can also take advantage of AIIA resources as well as wider organisations such as Austrade, EFIC, NSW Department of State and Regional Development, and other federal and state government agencies.
