The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) yesterday announced the outcome of elections and appointments to the 2008/09 AIIA National Board of Directors at the 30th AIIA Annual General Meeting held in Sydney.
AIIA is pleased to present a strong National Board in 2008/09, featuring high profile industry figures and representing a broad range of industry sectors. Domestic small to medium enterprises are well represented alongside significant multinational corporations across sectors including software, communications, consultancy and services. Every state is represented in the selection of this year’s Board members.
The AIIA National Board is comprised of 11 members elected by AIIA’s membership, with five appointments made at the discretion of the Board. The Board voted to continue John Grant, Managing Director of Data#3, as Chair; Glen Boreham, CEO and Managing Director, IBM Australia and New Zealand as Deputy Chair; and John Stockbridge, Director, Brookstone Technologies, as Treasurer.
Members and Directors at the meeting also voted unanimously to pass changes to the AIIA Constitution.
The 2008/09 AIIA National Board composition will be as follows:
Six newly elected members:
- Paul Brandling, Vice-President and Managing Director, Hewlett-Packard South Pacific
- Philip Cronin, Country Manager, Intel Australia and New Zealand
- Alan Noble, Engineering Director, Google Australia
- Tom Stianos, Chief Executive Officer, SMS Management & Technology
- John Stockbridge, Director, Brookstone Technologies (Treasurer)
- Rod Vawdrey, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand
Five continuing members:
- Glen Boreham, CEO and Managing Director, IBM Australia and New Zealand (Deputy Chair)
- Tracey Fellows, Managing Director, Microsoft Australia
- John Grant, Managing Director, Data#3 (Chair)
- Lou Martini, Country Manager (Australia and New Zealand), ISA Technologies
- Kee Wong, Managing Principal, e-Centric Innovations
